Referrals, kept on record

Every good introduction deserves a record.

Referral Ledger is a field guide and a working map for people who send business to each other. Learn how to give an introduction that lands, and trace how introductions move through a group.

01 · Principles

Three habits that make a referral work

i.

Give it specifically

Name the person, the need, and the reason they fit. A specific introduction is easy to act on. A vague one is easy to forget.

ii.

Follow it up

Tell the person you referred that you made the introduction, then ask how it went. Ask once, and leave room for an honest answer.

iii.

Say thank you

Thank the person who sent you a lead within the same week. Say what it led to, or what you learned, even if the work is still in progress.

02 · Interactive

Map the introductions

Add the names in your group, then record who referred whom. Each introduction becomes an arrow on the map, and the log keeps the order they happened in. Everything stays on this page, and reloading clears it.

Each arrow runs from the person who referred to the person who was referred.
